The American Association of Equine Practitioners recommends that all horses receive core vaccinations for Western and Eastern equine encephalitis, tetanus and rabies. However, there are additional vaccines available for West Nile, potomac fever, equine influenza, equine herpesvirus (“rhino”) and Streptococcus equi (“Strangles”).
